Nature always has surprises. No matter what species or locale, new discoveries leave me in awe. Reports and images open up new perspectives that make me feel like a child again, being first exposed to all the wonder and beauty nature has to offer. When I read about how the age of discovery has ended, that nothing is left to explore or traverse, I scoff at the idea because our world is an ever-changing landscape of infinite possibilities. Nature keeps producing new species and new islands while technology and curiosity reveals long-lost cities, time-forgotten species and exposes planetary composition producing new data sets that further the need to look back towards places we ignored or missed the first time once visited.
